I have a question to ask?What do you guy think about having a tourny on Fork with having a weigher in each boat since it is a slot lake.I know the PAA Toyota does that.If that could happen how many of you would be interested to do that?

It would be tough to recruit weighers only. I think everybody would want to fish. How about a paper tourney like some clubs do?

If we did a paper tourny we would still need an extra person on board to verify the length. There would be too much of a cheating risk. Unfortunately. This would be one of our opens for next year. Any comments and suggestions welcome.

We will be looking into sponsors for this tourny. May see about about getting someone to sponsor the handheld digital scales.

I think it's a good idea. The only problem and you know this is having enough money to pay observers too. It would be a lot of fun and if enough money was involved, it could be a good deal. Obviously plenty of people like to fish tournaments on this lake. Just look at the number of boats in the team tournaments they have now. Pretty good for a slot lake.

The weighers would be volunteers. This would probably be our benefit tourny for next year. I think we could get plenty of volunteers to be weighers.

Think you can get 150 volunteers?

I think so. We had our first annual benefit tourny on CC on May 3. It wasnt a big turnout. So we are going to try it again for next year on Fork. There are about 200 guys in the youth group. I think we can come up with enough to cover each boat.

Talked with the guys in the youth group last night. Observers wont be an issue. They are excited and ready to go. Now we need you guys to step up and let us know if you would be intersted in doing this. Again this will be our benefit tourny for next spring, April or May, on lake Fork.

It is a long ways off and hard to plan right now but it does sound like something I would like to do. Sounds like a lot of fun.

We are planning now so we're not pressed for time when it gets here. We will do either scales or paper. Paper may be easier to get a hold of.
