cocodrie, from what I've been reading on here lately, and I'm not trying to start another war , but there's been several reports of batches of DK's not being near what it used to be. Try something else maybe?

I have heard the same thing also Bambaboy. And the more I read about it, I am, wondering if I don't have several containers of bad DK. like 4 containers worth. My night crawlers out perfored DK, 4 to one last weekend. Then I finally caught me some fresh shad and things improved even better. But was surprised I got no bits period on the DK.

it was the first time i used it cause i use to read all about it a year or so ago, and it sure did smell, it stuck to the hook for the most part, but i was re baiting every 20 or so minutes, so who knows. i'll give it another go one day. i actually think i'm gonna buy some secret 7

I've read mixed posts. I have heard that DK went downhill, but I've also read that DK himself went to the factory to resolve the issues and the bait is back up to par. Haven't grabbed a new canister myself, so I can't comment as of yet.

dk's dip bait = grande bass rattlesnakes = dk's dip bait, etc..., a victim of shameless promotion on the TFF. Neither one lives up to the hype.

Dk does'nt make a dip bait.....I've caught hundereds of cats on Dk 's ....so have alot of guys on the TFF. it's not what it use to be but I could still catch fish on the bad batches...I am no longer a part of the pro staff for them.I am going to use a different bait but it's not because it doesnt catch fish.... used it and some other baits,( Lewis Kings Select and Dead Red Blood spray by Team Catfish) this weekend and took 3rd in the Texoma cat tourney. Danny did go down and make some bait himself. I stayed with his brother and nephew this week and they did comfirm he did go to the plant.
It's not shameless promotion of a bait if you catch fish with it and tell people about it and back it up with pic...
I know the guides on the TTF that use or used the bait did not catch the fish on something else and then post that they caught it on DK'S .....we try and help out with info so others can enjoy the same sucess....I know Cliff, Bobby and myself have caught many, many limits of cats on Dk's and shared the info freely with our friends on the TTF to help others enjoy catching fish...
If guys are catching fish I like to know about it...I like to know what bait ......and I dont care who makes ...I promote more than one bait because I use more than one bait.. if it doesnt catch fish I dont use it.....I mention the bait because thats what I caught them on ...it would'nt be any help if I just posted pic of my catch and did not give dept method and bait ....
yes it promotes the bait it is the least I could do for the manufacture that just helped me out by producing a bait that I caught fish on.......

dont get confused by people still defending DK's...OLD danny kings was a GREAT BAIT...but NEW danny kings is not. Im with you opus, been burned too many times now...I bought more too when I heard about Danny himself going to fix the problem, but nope...got three cans of the new stuff and it doesnt work anything like the old stuff. whoever the new owners are, they will get no more of my money. Danny King should start making his old formula again and just call it something else, then Id buy it again!

Try Lewis Kings Select...Team Catfish has a punch bait coming out and the Secert 7 proved its self this weekend ...

unless you went to the warehouse and picked it up I doubt you got a batch Danny made ....
those other baits are proven baits that work sure shot is another one guys like ....

i opened my can of DK in academy and i swear, right as i did, this lady turned the corner and it was like she hit a brick wall, i'm surprised she didn't fall down, but she did stumble back a bit, it seemed stinky enough, just no fish, maybe its the lake and not the bait, who knows

I like big marvs, but hard to get on short notice unless im fishing calaveras, which I dont much anymnore. looking forward to trying team catfishes punch bait...when will that be available? much prefer a punch bait over dip bait...but if you stir in some cattails, can you turn a dip bait into a punch bait? hmmmmmmm

cocodrie, when you and I fish medina together I will prove to you that punch bait really works GREAT...just not DK's punch bait anymore.

brother terry, its like anything that should smell, every male has to make sure sevral times that it does smell, and it doesn't matter if its in Macy's, we're gonna find out right then and there, thats why our significant others don't come with us when we test out our catfish bait.

scott, i need to catch some fish SOON, i'm getting the itch, a few here and a few there just isn't cutting it. i'm gonna go sneak on the cibolo creek somewhere if i dont catch massive catfish soon.

As far as DK's is concerned, it is very possible that the "New" DK's that people have had trouble with may very well be stuff that has been sitting in wearhouses and people assumed it was the new when it was the bad batches. Unless the company did a recall the retailers are not going to throw it away and lose money, they're going to sell it until it runs out. Unless it has a MFG. Date on it I'm not sure how you could tell. I'm out of the loop and don't know and it really don't concern me because I don't use any punch/dip baits. Just my two cents.

Maybe one of these days after work, you can make a run up to the north side of the lake. On 306, there is a stock pond called Fisherman's Corner. They sell Lewis King's punchbait. By a few small jars and try it out. If it works, they sell it in larger jars. Hope this helps!
