I know what your saying, is there a lot of protected areas maybe like you would find on a resivor with a lot of arms and creeks (Ceder Creek?) or is it more like lewisville just a huge wide open lake?

Mcpherson slough is a pretty good place to take a kayak, if there is no north wind

Had a decent day today. Caught a small white bass this morning. I worked my way down to the fishing docks in Oak Grove Park (mcphearson slough) I believe? and caught a 1 lb and 1 1/2 lber around 3pm. I caught a nice 3.4 lber around 3:45 between 2 of the docks right at the bank. All in all a nice day out. I also saw a 3 lber or so floating near the bank.

What were you using? I tried black and yellow beetle spins today and got a few strikes, but activity tapered off. Thanks.

Caught everything on white spinner bait. I tried a few other lures but quickly went back to spinners.

Yeah the white spinners are definetly great to use especially around the flooded brush

Caught 1 sandie and two largemouth bass this morning using a white spinnerbait with willow leaf blades. Caught all three in a span of 10 casts. The largest was probably 2 lbs. I was surprised the sandie hit a full size spinner bait.
