i use yum buzz frogs, dragging it across the grassbeds and when it gets to the edge, hold on... thats where i catch the 5#ers,the rest of the pond i use baby brush hogs or crawdads. all t-rigged. anywhere on that pond has good action, but the grass is the biguns are.

depending on what you like to catch, but I tear the catfish up at Lake Woodlands along the bulkhead with beef liver using a small split shot, small cork, and tough as nails circle hook. When I was fishing it often, we would catch our limited quick and its fast action. We use a boat (only electric) and cast toward the bulkhead, if the cats are there, then the fight is on. We cast while on the move and only stop when the cork disappears. We like the bait to be right off the bottom. A loud approach tends to bring them to the bait quicker. good luck

There are a few ponds strung together off of 1488 east of 242 going towards 45 from Magnolia. I have not fished there in a few years because I moved. I used to have good luck there, black bass mainly.

Went to Lake Woodland today caught 1 !0" yellow cat,and saw 1 gou caught off the pier in the park, fishing with fresh shad. Are you talking about the bulkhead at the dam or by the boat ramp&piers. Are all 4 piers good and do you cast way out. Thanks
