Has anyone got into any kings yet this year.

I haven't but iv'e heard of some people catchin them 30 miles plus. Only a matter of time now before the water warms up enough for them to come closer in.

I have. I got into them fairly good for this time of year a couple of weeks ago. I was in Port O'connor and only about 15 miles out. Was trolling ballyhoo on a Williamson bait-o-matic. Had an Aunt out there for the first time and she wanted the first fish, so I let her have at it and after missing the first three, I grabbed the rod to get the first one in the boat. Ended up just a fair trip, but was the first time to get offshore this year and actually be able to fish.

Well, some of the guides websites are showing reports of kings fairly close to shore from Port Mansfield on south. One I saw said that they're getting them just outside the SPI jetties.
