I was wondering if anyone has one of the color C lectors and uses it. This has recently been reintroduced in the market. Selecting what color lure to toss out is always somewhat a mystery to me. They cost about a hundred bucks, a pretty big investment if they don't help. Any feed back would be appreciated. I am new to the forum and hope to learn from all the experienced anglers. Thanks for the help.

I had one of the original models and I always thought it was very close for worm fishing for black bass. I don't bass fish anymore so I sold it a long time ago. I'm sure others will tell you it's junk, but I had good luck with mine.

I still use my old one particularly if I'm struggling to get bit. I don't know if it really helps but it does give me confidence.

I had one of the originals. It can tell you what color to throw, but can't put you on fish, nor make them bite. I think at the time I bought it, I didn't have the experience to necessarily make the right call on colors, but with some experience, I don't think it's needed. That said, I think about 80% of the colors out there are designed to catch fishermen and not necessarily fish.....

Thanks for the help. I am putting it further down on my want list. Hope to see you all on a lake some time. I have a 22 foot Lowe Suncruiser deck boat with a 150 Johnson outboard. Got it last summer, great for fishing and taking the family out to tube or ski. Aluminum and pretty light weight, I've had it in 2 foot of water without bottoming out and had 5 adults and 3 children in it. Not as fast as some boats, but I can pull a tuber at 45 if they are brave enough. I have it in dry storage on Lewisville and am trying to learn the lake for fishing. Sunday fished the 121 cut and caught a few small white bass. Great day to be out except for all the boat traffic. Alot of jerks out there.

We used one when it first came out. It worked most of the time depending on the weather.

How many guys fishing the Elite do you see using one. Just something else to sell. Just ask Roland. Be around for years.

I always kind of looked at them as kin to the Banjo Minnow or maybe the Pocket fisherman.

Where do you buy your minnows that play the banjo, and most important where do you find banjos that small? What if the fish you are after don,t like bluegrass music? Any way, thanks for the help.

We've had one of the original ones for years and still use it, mainly for black and white bass. Recently started using it in salt water but not enough for results. It definitely helps with the bass lures in fresh water. Fishing side by side with others in the boat using exactly the same techniques and equipment (trolling) using the colors it says catches more fish, sunny or overcast.
