OK so it been a while since I owend a boat. I just recieved my pltes and the ugly orange TX sticker.

I know that back in the day you had to place this sticker along with a number that was assigned to you on the boat. Do you still have to put the numbers on the boat today or just the tx sticker?

Most custom sign shops will make a set for you. Mine charged me $20 and I got to pick the style and color. Options are limitless.

haha, dont worry, you really be one if you put the letter backwards on the driver side... remember, read it left to right on both side of the boat...

The TX sticker should always be toward the rear of the boat. On the port side (right side facing forward) when applying the numbers looking at it should read, TX sticker, TX 1234 AA the starboard (left side facing forward) side should read TX 1234 AA, TX sticker. Make sure there are spaces between the TX and numbers and the numbers and two letters. I have included a link that should help you out.

http://www.boat-ed.com/tx/handbook/register.htm

Don't take it out without the numbers on there, your temp registration is only good for 3 to 4 weeks. Don't ask me how I know, but I do know...LOL The GW let me boat anyway! She was a hardA$$ at first, but lightened up after a little conversation. Just gotta show respect for the law!

Also, make sure you have your registration card on the boat! I did have mine, and she checked it!

See ya on the water,
SportFisher
