Howdy Anglers,

I am heading down to Lake Falcon this Saturday and was wondering if anyone has been recently? How they did? What the water tempature and color was? What baits? And areas they were fishing?

I am planning on getting a mexican licence when I go down there as well, so I can go anywhere! I will be down there May 10th - 16th.

Thanks for the imput,
John

Stop in at Falcon Tackle accross from the road that goes to the county ramp and get the latest info you need. Also you can check out his website at: http://www.tackleandrods.com/lake/flash.htm for the most current info online.
Good luck, it is a great lake... This past weekend 20 pound daily stringers were common place with the clubs down there...

I was there three weeks ago and had two clients from Missouri in the boat--we fished the Tigers and up the Salado--caught a ton of fish in the Tigers on Carolina rigged big worms, but the majority of the big fish (2 10s and a 12) came from the Salado. Flipping dark colored brush hogs in the trees--shallow (between 2 and 5ft).

Thanks for the info.

I am leaving in the morning, gonna make a pit stop at Bass Pro and should be there by late afternoon!

2Texasguides, I may be interested in having a guided trip one day of the week, it would be me and my dad, do you have any openings by chance?

I cannot explain how hot the fishing is right now. We have people here that are catfishermen, that have decided that they are now "Bass Experts"... The fact is that the Falcon is just plain and simple "ON FIRE"..

Charlie Haralson's clients just left the store.. He said they caught 100 fish today.. Over 30 fish over 5 pounds.. We had a couple guys that came to fish for catfish that both caught their personal best stringers today.. Over 30 pounds.. The summer pattern is in place and these big fish are piling up in groups on deeper drops and ledges, and on rocky piles near dropoffs..

It is hard for me to stay in the store.. I have been known to embellish the facts to make a fishing story sound good.. But this is no fish story..

If you took care of MOM last weekend then this weekend should be a good time to hit the lake.. Stop by and see us..

See you on the water!
