Going to be spending a few days on Lake Murray in Oklahoma this week and have no knowledge of this lake. Just wondering if anyone knows anything about it, are there any whites/hybrids or stripers on it? Any other info would be appreciated.
Thanks

i think it is a striper lake..... never hear any reports of good fishing there, so i wouldnt bet on hauling in mass quantities of fish. real clear water iirc

no striper there I think they have sandies as most lakes around here do. I have only heard of LMB and Smallies as well as catfish. Never herd of a hybrid or striper being caught.

I know there are some big fat, dark colored sandies in Broken Bow, figured out a couple of spots to catch them there consistently -- so I bet Murray has had them stocked as well
I've fished it for 40 years. No there aint no striper. Some whites but not enough to go fishing for. mostly bass, crappie and catfish. Fish the north half of the lake. About midway there is a canal that connects te 2 halfs together and makes it faster to go from one side to the other. If you go to tuckers tower and fish straight down you might get some sandies., but its very very deep
The catfishing is retty good on that lake for channels..use to take my youth group out there and wear them out on the docks ...alos the small mouth fishing I hear is pretty good...
I just saw a thread in bass section about smallies in Murray. Supposedly hitting fast and furious but not real big in size. Remember to get an oklahoma license as they do check.
