I have noticed the slow demise of the local DQ. I have a theory that sonic has taken their niche. I still go by a few here and there but none within 20 miles of my house. Sometime you just gotta have a steak fingers basket and a blizzard.
DQ was the only restaurant in my hometown growing up. We used to sit in church and pray we'd get out early so we could beat the Methodists there!
same way in the town I lived in, we would go sit in the parking lot at dairy queen and hang out... it was the shizzle to drive down the strip and circle DQ, 400 times a night
