the pond is close to bowie high school in arlington map of bowie pond there are 2 main access points one from gessner ct and the other on the east side of hillcroft ave, if you take this route you have to jump the curb and continue down to the pond youll see that other vehicals have alreayd been there...but i recommend not going through hillcroft enterance during school the police kinda frown upon it

I didn't even think of that pond having fish in it. I went to Bowie, always knew it was there, took my truck back there a few times, but never thought of fishing it. I might have to give it a try when finals finish and I go back to Arlington.
We always accessed off Highbank though. I don't know if that point is overgrown or not though. But as Crappie_Fed said, the cops did not like that access point at all when I was there.

texas2wheeler, i went to bowie graduated in 03, yea supposably i heard rumors of this old guy who owns the pond behind TCC SE campus stocked the bowie "pond" (its really a drainage area for bowies drainage system, and through rains, storms and that tornado that hit arlington a couple years back its to its current size) and my bro who is currently at bowie said one of the science teachers stocked it as well. and its not overgrown on both enterences. but if you see an older guy who lives at the house close to the pond on gessner (has a big ski boat) say hi to him hes been kind enough to trim the grass around the pond in the past but seems he has had hip surgery again his name is eddie
123gofish, supposably there are crappie in there from other fishermen who fish there, roddy69er claims so, ive seen catfish come out of there and ive made attempts to stock it with crappie but i cant seem to get them past the frying pan. and ive thrown some live shad i had extra i dont know if they survived.
either of you just give me a pm if you head out there ill join in

Until I moved about 3 months ago used to fisd bowie all the time pulled some nice bass on top water out of Bowie up to 5 lbs. I always fished it in a kayak. Used to throw buzz bait and frogs when the moss got thick....

Fished this pond last week. Don't bother going unless you have a kayak or small boat. There are very few spots to fish it from the bank, and you are fighting the thick moss at those spots.

Hey Crappie_fed,how have you been,I haven't seen you in a while? Well lets get back to the question(are there any crappie in the bowie pond? The answer is YES! Me and my son have done very well, catching and releading them. The biggest thus far is a 12" white crappie.(I caught, measured but did not weigh it?) We were using jig head 1/16 unpainted head,black/chartreuse or blue/silver,pink/black tube body under a slip float. we were fishing over by Eddies house all around the bank on both sides at the depth of about 12" to 18 " deep. I was suprised when we landed a small sandbass,(took him home to my pond at my house.) Well enoough said and just gave away my secrets, but enjoy and have fun! Remember always take a kid fishing, and watch a smile appear!

hey roddy im doing good, just busy with school and been trying to fit in some fishing ive been at lake arlington lately..hmm id try jigs but theres so much grass in there
123gofish, i wouldnt go out in waders you might sink in knee deep, the mud is real soft and another guy tried i think 2 years back and got a bit stuck.. id still go around in a jon boat, canoe, kayak, or bass buster unless yall wanna trim the area around it, ill join in and help...only problem is the highschools will prob trash it again as do other people who fish there and leave junk
