Has anyone found and enjoyed prescription sunglasses? My normal glasses are no-line bifocals. Help. Thanks

I have transition lenses in mine. I just go and don't think about it. They are light inside and dark outside. When I want darker I put on a pair of coccoons.

I do like Dayne said. I have progressive lenses. I put sunglasses over my prescription glasses. I have a kind I think are called Fit Overs. They didn't have Cocoons at a local store. I like the Fit Overs.

I use Cocoons most of the time. Got them at BPS in San Antonio. My wife calls them my laser goggles. I also found a decent pair of $12.00 polarized clip ons, at Walgreens. I wear no-line bifocals too, so prescription sunglasses would be expensive. Maybe someday I'll get me some prescription Hollywood's. ;\)

I got a pair of Coccon's at BPS in Grapevine about a week ago, man I really like them. If they could just beef up their lense processes to that of Costa or near to it they would be dang near perfect!

On the other hand I have a pair of Costa's that are RX and I have been pleased with them. However, it was def. cheaper to get the standard Costa's and just wear my contacts.

check out Oakley.com

Many of their glasses you can get with Rx/prescription lenses.

I have a set of 'goggle' style RX sunglasses that I got primarily for riding my motorcycle, but they're also very well suited to fishing. $125 at Wal-mart, including polycarbonate lenses (lightweight - very important as I have severe astigmatism), scratch resistant, etc.

I've tried the Cacoons, way too bulky for me. Went to WAlMart w/Rx and got a pair for $125.00 wrap arounds. Look out Ringfry!

I had Rx lenses put in my Bolle's and have fallen in love with them. Used to wear contacts with the Bolle's but hated wearing contacts. Was quite costly to do this but well worth the money to me. Only draw back is they dont have the bifocals in them. Kind of a challenge tying knots and my kids laugh at me when trying to get into focus.

I won't wear contacts. So I am stuck with my progressive lens. Even with them I have a hard time seeing how to tie knots sometimes. Reading small print is out of the question too. I will remember Bolle's the next time I need sun glasses. I am 48 now and might have to go to a full bifocal for my next rx glasses....only problem is I have astigmatism too. Do the Bolle's offer side protection as well? I have never seen or heard of them before.

Years ago I used prescription polarized sunglasses. They've got way to expensive, plus they do not block the sun from the side. Now I wear my regular no line bifocals and a pair of cocoons and they work great.....Prescription sunglasses that are not polarized are a waste of money....

Yes. There is a little gap at the corner of the eye on the side but not a noticeable amount of light coming in.

Did I understand you correctly? You found prescription wrap-arounds at Wal-mart? Which store? I have always wanted wrap-around Rx sunglasses, but have never found any.

The WalMart in Tyler on south Broadway. They are designed for motorcycles, but they are polarized. They are found in their Vision Center.

I had my place replace the lenses in a pair of Ray-Bans with prescription polarized lenses. Works out great.

I wear the polarized fit over type with the side protection. They are bulky but I love them. No light gets in from the top or the sides so it makes the polarized vision that much more. I think they look goofy, but are very handy

That is what I,ve been using, too. They are great at filtering, but I would be much happier if I could achieve the same result with smaller frames. I guess it's time to get my prescription renewed!

I use prescriptiom Costa Del Mar. I only have the single prescription for distance. I did not get the slight correction my Rx has for close up. I just flip them up when I need to tie or see well inside 2 ft. Pricey at over $275.

Had the rx lenses put in my ray bans(wrap around) and i actually wear trifocals. Cost about 450 extra but well worth it.
