I took a friend from work and his boy to the perch pond this afternoon and tore them up using worms under a bobber fishing 12" deep. His son caught his first fish all by himself and hooked a turtle too. Luckily the turtle came off as I was lifting him on the shore. It is great to take a kid fishing and see them catch one for the first time. I love the smile it puts on their face. All in all it was a success. Plenty of fish caught, got to feed the ducks and take some flowers home for mom to boot (guarantees a return trip
