I haven't been to cag in awhile. It's way to slow over there, not like this place is A rocket ship or anything either.

I avoid CAG unless there is a specific thread that is recommended to me. My membership has expired and I do not expect to renew. If I decide I just HAVE to fish the ATC next year I may renew for that.

Often I view the jacka$$ stuff the same way you guys view the CAG stuff. Hay you guys can draw the younger crowd with the jackassery and CAG can draw the grumpy old men and brits. LOL

It's just politics within an orginization. This too will pass. I'm supporting CAG for the long haul. It's getting better, just a few bad apples.

Keep in mind, the CAG Forum is not all that CAG is about. There are fish-ins, national events, and a quarterly magazine. You hear about the Austin Team Championship, the First Fishing Folly, and the CAGI(Carp Anglers Group Invitational)- These are CAG events that have brought Texas Carpers together. They offer a chance for Carp Anglers to come together for "In-Person" fellowship and, if you choose, a little Jack@$$ery.

Go to the CAG Forum. There is a lot to learn there. The Good far outweighs the bad- There's just a small vocal group that likes to ruffle feathers- You'll soon learn who they are and what their agenda is. Skip the threads that don't interest you- I did before I was a Mod; I would just look for threads about techniques or reports that sounded interesting- I rarely stuck my nose in the carpolitical threads.

Just so were clear. I have NO problem with CAG as an organization and think it is a great thing! I was just commenting on some of the garbage that goes on over there. It seems that 60% of the time I go into a thread to read about someone's catch it turns into some "jerry springer" event.

Anyway....I just didn't want people to think I was bashing CAG or anything like that.

well, the threads where people question other people's weight of their fish are going to happen. Some people have [censored] for scales and they aren't accurate over 15# but not sure if worth busting their balls publicly is the answer, keep it in pm's so only the mods and admin can see , lmao.
