I have several 5000C's and C3's. I can take them apart, put them back together in order, and so on, but I'm a lousy diagnostician. I have one reel that the drag chatters really bad if on all but the very lightest settings. I took the thing apart and it had some sticky grease in there. I cleaned off all of the drag washers: four fiber and three metal. I hoped it would make the drag smoother, but it didn't. Is there something I can do to fix this reel short of replacing all of the drag washers? No reliable source of parts... can't see paying Southwest ten dollars shipping for 50 cents worth of fiber washers. Any ideas?
