Just an FYI for those who fish Meadowmere park. They are now enforcing the $5 admission fee. How do I know this? I got kicked out today! ;\) At least I was putting away my stuff for the day when they came and asked to see my 'stub'. The were polite and asked me to pay or leave so I left.

If you fish there often, like I do, you can get a yearly pass at the Grapevine campground...for the low low fee of $75.

If you would have showed them your "stub" you may have never been allowed back

yeah, it was $10 to get into Loyd Park on JP but the privacy we had was well worth it.

They're a nuisance, but if the fees are spent on improving the parks and if they keep out some of the riffraff, it's money well spent.

Considering the price of gas, 5.00 to fish a full day / night is cheap.

I get the passes. I have the TPWD pass, Gets you into Emma for free as well, and the Corps pass. I rarely pay to use parks during the day this way. Most still charge to camp though.
