A friend of mine moved to a new house in the Bryan/College Station area, and he lives on a lake called Frierson Lake. It does not seem to be more than a few acres large, and I was wondering if anyone heard anything about the fishing.

Well, I went fishin' with a few jigs and pulled out a few largemouth under a pound each and three crappie. Lake seems a bit small to house crappie, but they made good eatin'.

I've lived here 12 years and never heard of it. Where in town is it located?

It is in College Station and has a group of homes around it.

That doesnt tell me where it is......got any directions? I sure would like to try it out~

Seems like the crappie are slowly moving into the "creek" areas of this lake. They're all around 12 to 13 inches, and I'm a happy fisherman!!!

It's over next to Indian Lakes. Actually walked around a few of those lakes this last weekend and picked up some crappie too!!! Weird. I figured the lakes were a bit too small to house crappie. Either way, it is always fun finding new spots.

Is anyone allowed to fish there, i.e. is it private or public land? I dont live too far away, right off Wellborn and 40.

It definitely looks private because it seems only to be accessible through private property. Luckily, my buddy has a decent sized dock, and we're plannin' on renting a canoe or kayak from the rec center to explore it.

Alright, I've now sunken a small "condo" down into this lake. Hopefully, it'll start producing within a week or two!!!

Crazy old loons...

I used to live on that lake. It has a fairly decent crappie population. There is a dock on the dam and people have sunk brush off of it. There is also a point directly across from the boat ramp there are brush piles there too. There is very good bass fishing there last year I caught a 9+ there. The previous owner of the house I lived in caught several fish in the 10 to 11.5 range. You need a boat or canoe to fish in effectively.

Oh and it is private and they will ask you to leave.
