I saw one about as big around as a small dinner plate the other day here on Granbury. They are on just about any of the area lakes around DFW go out about dusk and listen for them watch out for the snakes tho.

Go out with a high powered spot light and a friend on the lakes at night and look for thier eyes, have your friend get on bank and you blind them with the light and he sneaks up on them. Just watch out and dont sneak up on gator eyes

They are cannabilistic and will go after a small plastic iimitation frog too. One of the craziest things I have seen.

Anyways, what kinds of fish can you catch on frogs? I've never used them as bait before but have been fishing in areas where I had no bait and there were bucketloads of frogs.

If the frogs eyes are more than 12" apart don't try and catch him.
