Friday the 25th was a beautiful day. It was one of those days you hope or wished every day could be like. Headed out to West Matty with Joe and his brother Felix. I was going to a place I have been on fish at for the last 3 weeks and was beat there by another boat so we had to go to plan B. Did see some bait working about 1/4 a mile from where I was wanting to fish so we eased up to it and got out and started our wade. We all 3 had topwaters on and it did not take long for the blow ups and hook ups to start. Fish after fish for a solid 2 hours before the bite slowed. Every trout we caught was 18 to 24 inches. Joe and Felix had their limits in Trout so we waded down a little farther about 3/4 mile from where we was catching trout to look for some Reds. Sure thing they was on a reef I knew was in the area. Joe had a good 8+ lb. red for his first and then follwed up with Felix's 26 inch red in their first casts. After about an hour later we called it a day with 2 more reds to add to the stringer. Total catch for Joe and Felix was 20 trout and 4 Reds. What a great day and fun they had.
