What is the best soft plastic for trout and reds and how to use it? I'm looking for opinions AND facts.

Norton Sand Eel

and

Corky's or Brown Lures.

Trout killers are sweet but I find they are better later on in the summer on hot, calm, and clear days.

Depends what you are fishing for.
Flounder - 3" gulp shrimp, new penny. Work it slow just bumping it off the bottom.
Trout - TTK - Jig at different speeds until you find what the fish want.
Reds - Gulp shrimp or red killers. Same as trout.

I think the best plastic baits are Stanley Wedgetails or Yums.
