The "1st Annual Britteny Lindt Memorial Bass Tournament" will be held on Saturday May 31st at Lake Lewisville.

Britteny Lindt was the beautiful 15 year old daughter of Tim and Kari Lindt of Highland Village. She was also a cheerleader for Marcus High School in Flower Mound. On August 18, 2006, Britteny was tubing on Lake Lewisville when a man, who had been drinking all day ran over Britteny with his boat and killed her. Because of the sub-standard water safety laws, this man walked free without a single day in jail. He had chosen to drive in circles around Britteny while she was in the water, and ultimately drove over her. There is not a law against a boat circling another water craft, thus he was found not guilty. Britteny's parents founded the "Britteny Lindt Fund" just two days after her death in an effort to stop others from dying on our public lakes from intoxicated and reckless boaters.

I would like to personally invite you to join us at Lake Lewisville on May 31st to support the "Britteny Lindt Fund" and their efforts to make our area lakes a safer place for our families to enjoy. There will be incredible prizes and alot of fun!

Format: Open Team / Individual (Anglers Choice)

Hours: 7:00am - 3:30pm

Registration will open at 5:00am at "Lewisville Lake Park - Ramp #2.

Any angler / boater from the BPS Grapevine Tourament Series that competes in the "1st Annual Britteny Lindt Memorial Bass Tournament" will immediately qualify for the two-day championship tournament in September!
