went catfishing off the bank at tawakoni this morning . my buddy is a die hard chicken liver man (sewed on a hook 2 times then wrapped with brown sewing thread to keep on hook good ).we met at walmart (where he bought a shad net ) and headed to tawakoni in one car. he got us some shad to get started and i put some on while he rigged the liver on his rods . results over 30 fish on shad to his zero for the first 2 hours .finally he put some shad on and started to caTCh some too.although we only got 3 cats (all keepers ) biggest one going about 3-5 lbs . the yellow really tore the shad up and these were respectable size yellow also the drum seemed to like shad too ( caught 4 good drum too ) . heres a foto of our stringer ( well mostly mine since it took him a long time to get rid of the liver ) .man this stringer was quite heavy too ! oh i forgot 5 sandies ( only 2 keeper size )

I have heard they weren't good to eat. My father told me that they had something wrong with them and could make you sick...I wonder who he heard that from. Anybody else know?

I have seen cow tongue at the store in the past. I am sorry I just don't think I could manage to eat that stuff....
If you like it, I won't knock it.
