Have you tried these lures with success? What fish have you caught with them? I would think white bass would love them. I have not seen any in stores. What store did you buy yours at?

They are great. Lots of sand bass.

Fun & Sun in Hurst or go to his web site.

I like the 3/4 oz because you can get to a school of topwater whites without spooking them.

I like the 1/4 oz. under a float up in the creeks. You can catch crappie, bass, whites and even a few cats. The hooks are to big for the gills but they sure mess with it.

Thanks guys. I saw the website, but wondered if they had them for sale at a store by a name I would know. Like BPS, Cabelas, Academy, Gander Mt etc...

I notice that the Humdinger resembles a Little George. Do they act about the same when you use them?

They work.....

Lewisville hybrid from last fall, i caught probably 50-60 sandbass the same evening on the same white w/ silver flake Humdinger. They're a better quality bait than the Little George. Order direct from LeRoy....

So now my next question, which Humdinger do you prefer? The one with two blades, the super...or the original?

Thanks. I will wait to see what others say as well before making a small order to test them out.

I like the super. Sometimes they strike at the spinner.

been a long time since I used a lure that wasn't either a humdinger or a TNT slab.

Original all the way! I try to avoid double trebles on sandbass / hybrid lures for several reasons.

The original is the one I love- ¾ oz. chartreuse and white. Very good for shallow water fish , I also use them when fish school in deep water. Just count down about half way and a steady retrieve \:D

Thanks guys. You have really made my day. I cannot wait to order them and give them a whirl. I wish I had a couple today to try out. I think I am gonna head out to Lake O The Pines for a bit and see what I can catch. I used to use minnow, worms etc..and jigs. Now I have spread out and bought many more crank baits, and plastics. I have had decent look with cranks, but poor luck with plastics. I am trying to be a more rounded angler. Besides bait dies on ya. But if I have to go to bait, I definitely still will at times. I have been fly fishing more than anything lately. But today I think it will be conventional gear mostly.

Chartreuse is my #2 favorite, the white w/ silver flake is #1 for me. Either way you can't wrong

I got my Humdingers in late this afternoon. I ordered six to see how I like them. I gave one to my son. I got two chartreuse over white, and 4 of the white with silver flake. I thought I was getting 3 different kinds, but Leroy said that they all had red of them...so I ended up getting four of the white with silver flake. I put one away for a spare, and two went to two separate tackle boxes. That way I will have at least two in each box. If I leave one box, I still have them in my other box. I cannot wait to try them out. I will let you all know how they do for me my next trip out, which should be very quick. Leroy was a great guy. I think the body of the lures looked superb.

I would love to try one up under a float....on the spillway. Did you jig it, or just let it run with the current? I got all 3/4 oz lures, now that I reread this post I need to get 1/4 oz lures too. But I want to try these out first and see what I think .
