I am going to try and take him out next week some time. Where is a easy spot around the dfw area. I would take him to the pond but it is 1 1/2 hrs away and dont want to drive all that much and then fish for 15 minutes and come home. I used to fish chisholm park as a kid...still ALOT of bluegill in there?

Hit the vine around boat houses and marinas and sometimes but mostly during mid summer around the cliffs on the south side....

I used to go well by fishing lil rock pile with corn in the summer on the vine when I used to take my nieces perch jerkin

Yes, Chisholm still has decent amounts of blue gill and maybe even some pumkinseed, I was cat fishing yesterday and accidentally foul hooked the most beautiful little sunfish i have ever seen!

Also were there bats there when you were young? Cause there are definitely bats there now!!!!!

The other really good thing bout the Chisholm park is that you can always take your little one to the playground located less than thirty yards from the water! I was fishing with my wife and 2 year old near by last night!

If you where a little closer I'd say I'd give you a hand with me at a couple of local ponds.
