Those that are ordering crickets, are you using them right away or have built a large container (cricket box) to keep them over an extended period of time whenever you need them? I thought about doing that, but always settle for giant mealworms since they're cheaper and work just as well...at least they have for me.

Try a local pet store. They sell crickets and meal worms as pet food.

I breed my own to feed early instar scorpions and tarantulas.

Put about 1" moist peat in a large plastic butter dish and a few slices of potato. Add 2 dozen adult crickets from the pet store and give them 48 hours to lay eggs. Keep the container warm and moist and in about 2 weeks youll have hundreds of pinheads. You can keep them alive just fine on fresh potato changed every 2 days.

Ill dig through some of my old messages in my inbox if anyone wants to know a better place here in texas to order them, but I know flukers isnt high on the list for people who have crickets shipped in.

Be ready to take care of them. They are cannibals and smell pretty bad if you dont do a fair amount of upkeep and feeding. Keep the egg crate they come with or use wadded newspaper for their bedding material.
