BPS is the only way to go. Cabelas is more for the hunter in my opinion.

I have completely given up on Cabela's. The last 5 items I was looking were either out of stock or "oh, I guess we don't handle that".

I can get most everything I need a lot cheaper and a lot closer at the area Academy stores.

Agreed! All my big ticket items (electronics, trolling motors, etc.) will come from Cabelas from now on, they understand customer service. BassPro has 'em beat on bait selection by a mile though.

I have always heard this saying!

"Cabelas is for hunters that like to fish" & "Bass Pro Shop is for fishermen that like to hunt"

Depends upon what you are looking for. I like both, just Cabela's is so far away. I have found items of use at both that meet my needs. No preference as one over the other. Just specific areas.

BPS! They have better fishing selection! Cabelas is more for hunters in my opinion.

BPS for sure. I won't ever waste my time in Cabela's again. They're higher and their selection was terrible. Only good thing about the store was the bargain cave. Wish BPS had one of them!

6 of one, half dozen of the other. They are both nice stores with comparable merchandise and prices. I would just go to the closest one to home, gas prices being what they are.

I like both as well, but I lean toward Cabela's (although they are farther away from me) because the points on my Cabela's Visa card don't expire. But for all I know BPS has changed their policies.

I'm like some of the others,I go to Bass Pro,Cabela's and Academy, just depends on what I want.Bass Pro is a little better for fishing, but Academy does have some better prices on some things. The sales that Cabela's have can be really good.JMO.

65 miles round trip to Cabelas and 75 to BPS, I think the shiping charges are cheaper than gas now so I only use the catalogues online unless I have to see something before buying....but use both and to much.
