anyone ever heard of lake Wichita???its in Wichita Falls and it was lowered 4.5ft in 1993 well that cut the size of the lake in half:( it was only a 2,300acre lake but is now only about 1,200acres. the
city is thinking of raising it 2ft!!!!thats BIG concidering that you cant even put a boat in it cause its too shallow. all that it is now is just a big catfish puddle cant wait till they do it if they do. i live about 0.5 miles from the lake and my uncle has a house on the lake I'm so excited!!!!!!wont have to travel 20mins every time I want to go fishing. just go right around the corner!!!its a real nice hybrid lake. but hope the lake will rise soon!!!!

Back in the mid to late 70's it was a very good lake for black bass. It was silted in and the city just never kept it up. I used to live 2 blocks away when I was a kid... good luck, hope it fills up again !
