Tough day. Stiff wind from the south gave the lake some chop, but nothing terrible - 1' swells and whitecaps. Weatherman said 15-20mph, I think it was 25+ ... anyways, tried what worked last time. That didn't work, so I puttered around for awhile, trying to set anchor on promising spots (so frustrating when the anchor gets pulled loose by the wind & waves).

But the good news was that in the last hour or so I found the sandies in very shallow water at Hackberry point, only 6-10 feet deep. Same as last few trips, no fish showings on the fishfinder, but they were hitting slabs on the bottom consistently. I called Boston Bob to let him know & caught three fish during the phone call lol. Final tally was 33 sandbass, no hybrids.

Tough day, but still good \:\) Now if I could just get the room to quit rocking back & forth ...

PS - the jugline noodles were gone

must have just missed you zeek we caught a few along the shoreline that runs from hackberry point all the way back to hidden cove fought waves for awhile and managed 5 fish then went to deadmans to try what you had told me, nothin... we where able to pick up two fish right up against the shoreline at deadmans.

then went to hickory creek and had no luck at all, we where headed back to hidden cove and saw a few birds working in the 121 boat cut went to check it out and got a couple of dinks. We saw a group of birds working about halfway to peir 121 we got over there and bam rookie07 got a nice 22in Hybrid first time I ever seen fish in that area. headed back to hidden cove and picked up a few by the golf corse. got to the mouth of hidden cove and saw some birds and picked up about 10 fish before we picked up the boat.

ended up with about 15 or 20 keepers and a keeper hybrid, lot of dinks. And very bumpy!!!

I tell my wife to add 10mph to what the weatherman says the wind will be when we are going to Lewisville.
