Not a fan of this idea, AT ALL. Today solidified that notion. Anyone else feel the same way?

Tough enough to fish next to the boat ramp, but why can't "non"-members just use the open dock on the other side of the ramp to wait and get their vehicle/trailor?

I did OK this afternoon, but felt on edge about my stuff and just security with these random, "discourteous" folks pulling in, drunk as hell, stereo blarin' mach one volume, kids running up n down the thing, gate slammin' back n forth...you get the idea. I signed up for peace and privacy (to an extent obviously). Caught a few nice ones, but it wasn't relaxing.

Sorry Josh, but there may need to be a meeting of the minds here on this issue. I just plain don't like the idea. To me, if you're not a paying member of that string of slips, then you don't need to be on them. It's too freely accessed by people to me, who don't give a damn about renters or anything else but themselves.

Big_Cat,

I have not been out to the casino since they were initially brushed, so I have not seen what you are talking about, but that does sound like it would be pretty annoying.

My point is being, IF non-members can freely access the string of slips we're renting, what's to keep them from stealing, making noise, or whatever?

Yes, it was annoying and disrespectful IMO. If that's OK (random boat owners to jump on the slips), then why are paying members not allowed to bring any friends or relatives outside of their kids?

I wouldn't have an issue with it, especially during weekdays when noone (members) are usually fishing out there anyways. I've never been to the slips weekday or weekend, where there was more than 4 slip members there at 1 time.

Sorry for the rant, but just the way I feel right now. Can't bring a friend, but some random boater can jump on them (slips) anytime they want?

I understand what you are saying, and there should be NO ONE fishing on that dock that is not a paying member. As for the courtesy slips, I have to provide some for the restaurant as well as additional boaters. The gas dock is not a good place for people to tie up for any length of time, especially when it is busy. And if people are coming in to eat they will usually be there for at least an hour. I will try to monitor it as best I can, but there has to be a spot for people to park. Have you had a problem with people fishing on the dock, or just coming in and out and being loud? I have not caught anyone down on the dock that is not supposed to be there since you guys started fishing. I want to make sure that you enjoy the slips and that they are productive to you, but I will have to keep courtesy slips for the other patrons. As I have said in the past I have not problem with you guys putting ropes or boards accross the end of your slips to keep people from pulling into them. Let me know your thoughts guys.

Josh
