When we were fishing for sandeis on marshal creek Saturday people were weizzing by us left and right.

ya some people are just plain selfish because they have a boat and can fly past people that are fishing on the bank. though it is fun to yell some not so nice remarks at the bastards.

Just stand a little further back from the bank, the spray shouldn't hit you that way.

plus it is easier to lob a 4oz weight at the boat if they can't see you

just try it sometime. me and my little friend might just go postal

I have a boat and go up Marshal Creek, and I slow down for everybody I see, sorry if I have got a few of you guys. I was almost run over on marshall creek last week by a guy in a bass boat going about 50 mph on the creek, all I know he was a in a skeeter and he had a truck with the name Kodiak on it but if you see him at the ramp WATCH OUT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Going postal has lost it's zig. I go Nasa on people...

Ya I have a bass boat but do walk the bank time to time. If I see some one fishing I slow down. But if there is a lot of people it’s hard to slow down it will take forever to get to where I’m going. Sorry I love yall but it’s hard to make every one happy. O ya please don’t lob a hook at me. Can’t we all just get along?
I’m 24 so I’m still a little crazy some times. 2 years back on texoma there where strippers hitting the surface. My dad and I where fishing the school and this boat came running up to the fish like and As# hole. Scared everything off so I thought I would nicely tell hem how to come up on a school of fish,, or not so nicely. He thought it would make things better if he tried to hit me with is popper. Make a long story short he just so happened to hit my dog and just so happed to use the same boat launch as us. When he came out of the water he must have thought I was just one of those people that like to talk crape. So hem and his friend walk over and started telling us the lake is for every one and they where not being very nice. My dad made me promise not to do anything but after about 30minits of this I got very mad. So I thought the best thing to do was nock the shi# out of this guy. Mom told me fighting is not the answer but this time it worked every well. His friend helped hem up and off they went. I hope this never happens and grapevine.;-)

it doesnt just happen on the banks... fishing under the bridge this weekend on CYpress SPrings and had a little brown bassboat come by at high idle. meaning- YES YOU WERE MAKING A WAKE! theres morons in every aspect. best just to stepback, take a breath and hopefully they will be gone quickly..... hopefully evolution will sift them from the gene pool!!!

Speeding thru Marshall Creek is pretty awesome. Makes you feel like an Indy car driver..

but I slow down for bankers and other boats.

A little more drop in the water level will take care of most of that. I generally can run on plane medium throttle all the way to just before the 377 bridge. After that I pick my spots and I know where the trees are. I try and slow down for all bank fisherman and boats fishing. I do pass the other boats that are meeting me on plane. Why should I get wet while they fly by. I saw a good log Saturday that was about 3-4 inches below the water. It will get someone. I touched a stump in a curve Saturday and it scared my wife. I knew it was there I just thought I would miss it a little. I have my motor up so high I loose my bite in the turns and have to let out of it a little.

Here are some images of the creek when it is down some. The first link is a picture of your boats final resting place if you hit this running on plane. It is a concrete wall over a foot wide. Goes all the way across the creek with only two small cuts. Only one big enough to get a small boat thru. The second is the bridge at 377 so you can see what you have been running over. Never go to the south side of that bridge to go thru. The third one is hard to tell, but that is a old bridge that collapsed into the creek. It is all still there just waiting to make your day.

so would you say this is a safe place to take a canoe or yak? dont want to get run over..........

well now some of the bigger boats will not be able to get all the way back to henrettia hole because of the fallen tree that crosses the creek from the last rain.:)

I saw that the other day, sometimes I wish it was right after a blind turn...

If I can remember to bring my chainsaw with me next time. Watch out for the floater it a big one.
