run yamalube and ringfree with 87 and your motor will be perfect for years and years, dont like the price? look into buying oil in bulk, usually 5-10 bucks cheaper.

check your dealer, they usually have it in bulk buy a 2.5 gallon jug and then see if they will refill it. Anchor marine in SA will do it. I have had the same jug for 2 years now.

I have a year old 225 HPDI and use yamalube. Its been the best burning oil that I have used.

a buddy has a 200 Vmax 2000 model. ran Yamalube ever since he bought it (new) never ran anything else. it runs great and smooth. he said Marine Outlet has a 1 gallon jug on the shelf for like $36 but if you save your jug and bring it back when you run out they refill it at around $20 somethin. but he said it has to be the Yamalube bottle. he showed up to get some oil and they said if you have the old bottle we will just fill it. he did not know it was cheaper that way and that they do that. he told them i got a 1 gallon antifreeze jug. they said that wont work it has to be the Yamalube jug.

they're just being bastards about the yamalube jug, i've filled up a 10 gallon water tank looking jug with the little spout on the bottom before. my buddy has it sitting on his work bench for long term use. thats probably just an way to get people to over pay for the new yamalube jug. that dealer probably screws you on service and everything else if they make those oil jug claims. and 36 dollars??? are they marking oil up for future prices??? i haven't seen it more then 28 bucks around here and it all comes from the same place.
