I've only used feathers or plastic. Has anyone had
any success using bucktail ?
thanks

works great, just when you think you have enough, use less...

If you are ordering some instead of trying to use what you already have on hand, I'd say forget the bucktail and get kip (calves) tail.
Kip tail isn't as rough and stiff as bucktail. I think it makes a better jig.
