Well, I've had a fun-filled day of doing math homework with a recalcitrant 10 year old ... so I have my boat hitched up, ready to go to Lewisville lake in the morning. Who else is going to brave the wind?

I have to be up before the kid gets up, otherwise I'll get a 'honey-do' along the lines of "why don't you wake her up, hel her get ready for school, fix her breakfast, pack her lunch and drive her to school?" ...

Well, the wind really wasn't blowing all that hard on the lake - the waves were only a few inches, though there were a few whitecaps here and there. Tried spot after spot until I found them in 14' at Deadmans point ... slabbing on the bottom.

Same thing as I had happen at Ray Roberts on Monday - no fish showing on the finder, but getting consistent hits on the slabs bounced RIGHT on the bottom.

Quit counting at 50 and left while they were still biting ... now I'm sunburnt and happy! \:\)

Winds south southwest 5-10, so wind speed is no excuse
