Whenever I go fishing, its mostly seniors and such. How old are you guys? I am 17... and cant really get anyone around my age to get interested in fishing cause alot of my friends are...well..impatient. I had a friend who would go fishing, but he got tired of it after our 5 streaks of catching Nothing at Grapevine Lake..=(

keep meeting people and posting. Someone will come along. Find you some good ponds that you can geet permission to fish. You just have to ask! This is where it is happening for bank fishing.

I know what you mean. Im 16.. my friends think fishing is borring and stuff. I hate it when people ask me like r u bobber fishing?. i mean i fish in tournys and stuff and like to use lures. they dont get it. lol

Ever thought of starting a fishing club at school? At 16, (I'm 65 now) I thought of 3 things; girls, fast cars and fishing. About 10% of my friends enjoyed the outdoors and I expect it is the same thing now. Ask around; you will probably make some new and different friends.

You could learn from some of the people who are "ancient"...lol. By fishing with older guys you can learn different styles of fishing, and learn to fish for multi-species. Sooner or later as you get more successful at fishing, you are bound to get other guys interested when they see pics of you and the big fish you are hauling in!

Us ancient guys can sometimes offer a little bit of knowledge we picked up along the way. And I am only the ancient age of 34 (35 tommorrow)

Ya dude, your not the only one im 17, and i fish club tournaments and ponds like everyday, i just wish i had my own boat, or someone to go in on a decent boat with.

I am 36, been fishing since I was four or five and can get enough of it.
I just moved form Louisiana and now live in Granbury.
In La I fished Toledo Bend 50 to 75 days a year.
I chose the house we live in because it has lake access.
So it only gets worse the older you get, but hopefully you make enough money and have enough time to keep dooing what you enjoy.

hey i am 17 also and i love fishing with the oldies! every time i go out i always learn so much. but it is nice to go with people my age so what i do is find someone at school ushly a team mate.and ask them what they are doing over the weekend if they say i don't no i say let's go fishing. most like it. and i found that if the cats arn't biting at the pond i go to it is a pretty safe bet that the bait is (pearch) and that will give them some thing to do while waiting for the real bite.

We should do BBQ this times.
