got done early today .got to lake at 3pm.armed with some brush hogs in june bug red , my plan of attack was to work about 3oo yrds of bank by fancasting every 15 ft oe so . after 45 minutes i got my first bite only to set the hook and breakoff on my medium action 12lb.test set up .i re-rigged up and after about the 3rd cast i got another hit , after setting the hook i realuzed it was way to powerful to be a bass .this fish was fight like a carp !! after tiring it out a bit i saw a greyish color fish and realized it couldnt be a carp . my first thought was a big blue . i loosened my drag because this fish wasnt ready to come in . after a great fight i was able to land this drum .it was really thick and huge ! im guessing 9-10 lbs ..what a thrill. heres what he did to my worm hook and heres the monster A DRUM !

it was an awesome fight im surprised i landed it witout a net lol . i took my needlenose to straiggthen the hook and it just snapped lol

I caught a drum out there about a year ago that was (maybe) a bit bigger. It was right after a rain and the water was muddy as all heck. I was throwing a fat rap and when bam! I'm not sure how the thing even saw the lure the water was so murky. Heck of a fight.

I've been killing em out there the last two days. I caught 20-25 LMB Wednesday night. I fished for about 2.5 hours. I went back last night, but things were slower. I still managed 5 fish, one decent female, in about an hour.
