Was fishing lake lewisville today and when I got to the ramp to load up I ran into these fellows. Apparantly after getting out their boat began to sink (for what reason I'm not sure) They managed to get it to the ramp and this is how it ended up on the trailer! When they pulled up they were dragging the motor the whole way! Poor guys, that is a bad day at the lake.

I was trying to be sneaky about the pics and took them as I was loading the boat. Don't think they even noticed, they had other things to worry about! \:\)

Ummmm, if it was already sinking, dont you think they could have flipped it over?

Maybe not, but if they can load it on the trailer like that, they have to have some kind of engineering skills

just not common sense...lol

that is just awesome, i wouldve had no fear and taken 400 pictures and interviewed everone around the area to get the eyewitness story, haha, about as good as the guy who put bearing grease on the bunks to let his boat slide on better with out wondering how well his boat would be sliding off...

Hey now I cannot say I tried the bearing grease, but I did put those teflon strips on my bunks, and all I can say is thank god the guys that taught me to load/unload years back always insisted on leaving the safety chain and strap attached until the boat was in the water.

The first time I unloaded that thing the boat slid back fast enough that I nearly broke my wrist with the handle of the trailer winch.

(These guys are all graduates of the University of Arkansas School of Engineering. They didn't want to hire no stinkin' UT graduate to help them out.) The true story is that the boat sunk to the bottom of the lake beside the ramp. It was only in about 10" over the gunwales, so the guys just unhooked the trailer from the car, four of them carried it out into the water beside the boat, then flipped the trailer upside down, and strapped it onto the sunken boat. Then they got the help of about twenty gawkers to turn the hole rig back over onto the trailer wheels while still in the water. Backed the car down the ramp, hooked up the hitch, and viola, you got the picture you see. NO UT graduates needed to figure this one out!!!

In forty years of fishin, I thought I'd seen every stupid boating trick out there. However, you got me with this one. I've NEVER seen anything like this before!!! I bet they got some real looks when they got back out on the highway pulling the whole rig home. Imagine trying to explain that one to your insurance agent!!!!

Regards, & Good Fishin',
LlindeX
