That fish looks alot bigger then 11 lbs. Super super fish.

It was exactly 24" long and weighed 11.0 on a digital scale. It was a nice one!

Why a "mystery lake?" I can understand not wanting to give away your spots, but that's kind of sorry. We all are after the same thing, pay the same license fees, and love the same game. (Disclaimer--if it's a tiny lake that can't handle the pressure, I do understand) Congrats to your friend on the fish, regardless.

I didn't post where and on what bait because I didn't catch it myself, other wise I wouldn't mind saying. But yes, it is a small body of water that high pressure would hurt. This is the third 11 caught there this year that we know of.

Wow. Great fish. By the looks of the bulging eye it must have been deep. Close the camera with a wide angle lens makes it look huge! I suspect those "icebergs" is where the background was erased. Good job.

C'mon whats the chances of you going out and catching that same fish, if he just told said what lake he was at, not where he was on the lake, what he used etc...... I wouldn't keep it a secret, we all just out to have fun...

I alter pics all the time for a few reasons. Have any of you posted a report, headed out to fish the next weekend, and found someone right in the same spot you caught all your fish from? I have... I fish from a kayak so my spots are limited due to the distance I am able to travel.

Watch these videos. This is one of my buddies that didnt have more than a few kayak trips under his belt. We caught over 20 Redfish that day all bringing home a limit. We were all fishing within casting distance of each other.

I agree with you. You have the right to keep the locations of your favorite spots to yourself! If you posted the location of every big fish caught, you'd soon find yourself in a huge crowd fishin' a dry hole. Don't let the negative comments bother you. Just keep in mind that some people have yet to learn the large degree of satisfaction that is gained from being out on the lake and "finding their own secret spots". After all, that's why we call it "Fishing" & not "Catching".

Good job on the edits! I have sat right beside my brother, with the same bait, setups and presentation and yet he always hauled them in. I don't blame anyone for not sharing good spots or anything else especially in these crowed lakes around any large city. You even have to keep fairly quite when you do catch one around here because you are always being watched and you will have company fast.
