I was suckered into believing that there is nothing better than Walleye fishing up north. I'll take a Falcon catfish dink anyday.

Flyfishing is fun, but here in TEXAS we're fortunate enough to have places where we can catch them. No need to leave the great state.

Is it just me, or does that come off as a shocker? Kinda thought he'd do better than that...

I was driving around the area next to the stage and pulled multiple BIG dead fish out of the water. Most I have ever seen @ any tournament. I know the 11 and the 13.2 sharealunker both died.Wht ie the deal and most died cause of the deep water they were coming out of!On a brighter note. It was awsome drinking beer with Tim Horton, Kevin Worth, Russ Lane, Gerald Swindle and his dad. Marty Stone didn't hang out much. The G-Man is one of the funniest people I have ever met. Every fisherman said that Falcon is the best fishery even the California boys.

Falcon is the best largemouth bass fishery period. The best fresh water fishery that has numerous species of trophy game fish with monster mutant specimens of every species is the Great Lakes. Look at where Kalamazoo Michigan is on the map. KVD learned everything he knows from growing up in a Great Lakes fishing community. He learned to be a FISHERMAN from his relatives and local legends that taught him how to break down the seasonal patterns on enormous lakes in a matter of hours and keep whatever he decides imitates what their feeding on in front of their nose all day long. Hell there are local 85 year old legends that get into 100's of fish every day in wooden lake boats with tiller motors without a gps depth finder side imaging whatever. They just fish because they are fishermen and think all this tournment stuff is just nonsence to make the tackle companies rich.

This post has gone way off topic. Time to move on...
