Melanie Bowers, 13, brought the sign to Athens Middle School on Friday as part of a class project on political activism. Each child was assigned to pick an issue and prepare a poster supporting a position. http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/ap/tx/5685492.htmlI guess they were just fighting for their rights for free benefits, and don't want those freebies taken away. Sad, but true.

They were trying to drag her into a bathroom telling her that they were going to rape her. All they got is on-campus suspension??? If I was that girls dad I might be tempted to do something bad.

I think I heard it reported that the father was trying to get it classified as a hate crime. It will never happen. Didn't you know? It's not possible for minorities to guilty of hate crimes. Of course.....before long, whites will be in the minority, in which case it will then be possible. Maybe there hasn't been enough time go by for this to hit the MSM....but I bet if the situation had been reversed and this had been white on hispanic violence it would have been all over the news by now. The kids that engaged in the violence should be EXPELLED....not suspended.

Definately a Hate Crime. I hope that The FBI is involved. I'll bet you a steak dinner the FBI or any other Federal alphabet agency won't touch this. This girl is on the wrong side of the PC fence.
