Who going out today? I'm about to head that way. Swing by and say hello if you are out! Purty day to fish and very little wind I'll put in a report tonight when I get in. Good luck!

A buddy and I were all over the lake from 9:30 to 1:30 and found a lot of fish here and there but they had lockjaw. Caught 5 or 6 smaller sandbass on humdingers and TNT slabs. We didnt see anyone else catching fish either. Maybe it was to nice a day weatherwise for the fish to be interested. Sunny all day. Just the opposite of this past Wednesday when it was overcast all day and we caught them under the birds and they were still feeding when we left the lake. Maybe the action picked up after we left the lake today.

J D, you must not have been fishing around us then. We managed to catch a few. We did see quite a few folks struggling today!!

Nice kitty!!

We got out about 1pm today and drove around looking for birds. Didn't see any working bait today anywhere. So then we made the milk run around the lake and checked all the normal holes. Caught a couple sandies on the end of the RP. Couple more over the river channel. Couple more at both the bridges and decided that they just weren't up that way. Ran South towards the dam and started graphing points. Marked and caught fish on about every point we stopped at. Seems like 20-25 feet was the majic depth this afternoon. Ended up catching about 50 sandies in all. Mostly keeper sized, but a few were small. Found no hybrids today. The kids got hungry and we left them biting around 5pm. I have a feeling tomorrow morning will be a lot better. All the direct sunlight warmed the lake about 4 or 5 degrees today. The front has passed and the pressure will be dropping soon, so I have a feeling they will bunch back up.

Met a few folks out there today, enjoyed it! Hey guys, SIGN UP !!

Maybe thats why you didn't catch any sandies, they were all in that big cat's belly \:D

That front that came thru made the fish a bit lethargic. A slow, very slow presentation, water depth and yes, color was key yesterday. Today should be better than yesterday, even thought the winds will be kicking up around 10:00am.

I think I caught that same catfish back in 2003 (lol). Seriously, I caught one that would go about 50 lbs. on a homemade green slab while fishing for sandbass in April of 2003.
Looked a lot like that one.

Wow \:o thats a monster cat Tamp!! How long did it take to pull that in?

Well, my wife, son and I went camping at Twak state park and we fished on Saturday from 9-3pm. First time boating on Twak. Only found birds once in the morning at Wolf cove (I think), caught a dozen big fat sandies (13-14") using 3/4 slabs. The bites were extremely light and my wife out catch me 7 to 5 ...No hybrids. And two 4-5 lbs kitties. Went around looking and didnt catch any. Thats all.

Water was 60-65 degrees. Wind 0-5 mph.

I finally did manage to limit out on fish, thanks to Ruben who gave my the slab to entice them with. I had to stay out till about 1:00 to do it, but I was looking for meat for a fish fry.

I would like to thank JVNITRO and his crew for the extra fish they gave me. It took me and my brother in law about 45 minutes to clean all of them, but it will be well worth it when I get to eat them!!
