Fished Bethany Lakes' Back Pond this morning in hopes of Bass. No luck.

Observed several 3+ lbs Bass on their nests in the shallows. Looks as if the spawn is on. Bass appear uninterested in the fishing flies presented.

Did have fun catching Bluegill/Sunfish on various fishing flies.
Fish were hitting on the surface as well as just below the surface.

Fished Bethany Ridge Park Pond. Caught 11 Bluegill/Sunfish and observed several small Bass in the feeder creek. Pictures posted.

Fished Colleyville Nature ponds this afternoon. Several sunfish and 2 small (very) bass

Fished Shadow Lakes, a small neighborhood series of ponds in Allen. Was able to find a protected area from the wind and catch 2 Bass flyfishing with a Blacknosed Dace. Had several more strikes but failed to set the hook in time. Switched to a Black Marabou Streamer and had more strikes but no hook ups.

Ran to Bethany Lakes to try the Black Marabou Streamer on Bass. No luck on Bass but did manage to land a small Sunfish on the Marabou Streamer.

Fished the pond at Bethany Ridge Park today. Caught Bluegill/Sunfish using fishing flies. Posted pictures in the link below. Also, posted a delayed picture of a nice Crappie caught at Lakeside Marina on Ray Hubbard on 20 March.

Made a quick trip to Bethany Ridge Park Pond's feeder creek yesterday. Caught a couple of Bluegill.

Fished Colleyville nature ponds yesterday afternoon. Caught several sunfish and one bass. Biggest bass I saw brought in - not caught - was by a guy seining for minnows. He had a 3 lb bass that got caught up in his net. Being a good sportsma, he threw th e bass back.

Due to the colder temperature this morning and strong wind, decided to fish the Outflow Creek below the Lower Pond, the Waterfall, and the Canal.

Using a Size 10, Prince Nymph was surprised in the numbers of fish in these locations and, in two cases, their size.

In the Outflow Creek, caught a 8.5" Bluegill in the shallow pool where the overflow for the Lower Pond is located.

In the Canal, caught an 11" Crappie on the Prince Nymph. Was mainly catching Bluegill and then got a nice hit and fight. Thought is was a big Bluegill at first but once landed, it was a Crappie.

In the Waterfall, fish were small and tended to nip at the fly. Did manage to land a small fingerling 3" Sunfish that made the size 10 nymph look huge.

Fished the feeder creek at Behtany Lakes to test out a fly pattern. Creek was high and flowing from the recent rains. Caught several Sunfish and a Bluegill with the largest going about 5" in size. Pictures posted in link below.

Fished Celebration Park using spinfishing gear. Cold and windy but was able to catch Bluegill, Sunfish, and one Bullhead on corn. Posted pictures of the Bluegill and Sunfish below.

Fished Bethany Lakes' Feeder Creek and Back Pond in the evening. Used flyfishing gear and a Teeny Nymph tied with Natural Color Pheasant Tail and Red Dacron.

Caught small Bluegill/Sunfish and a Bass that went about 10" in size. Published a video of the outing - see link below. There is no audio; still learning how to use Movie Maker.

Stopped by Allen Station Dam to check for fish activity. Water was flowing and murky. Need to wait till a later date to fish this area. Video posted in link below.

Starting Apr. 21st the Texas fish and parks will start stocking the community lakes. Here is the ones that they will stock on a continus basis.

Checked out Bethany Ridge Park pond in Allen earlier today. Despite the strong wind, was able to catch three Bluegill in the feeder creek by the bridge. Fish were caught flyfishing on a Teeny Nymph. See video in the link below.

Fished Bethany Lakes' Lower Pond this evening. Had a late start as repairs to a fence took precedence over fishing. Wind hit us hard again in Allen last night.

Was able to take a quick trip to Bethany Lakes and catch a few Bluegill. Fish were active and readily struck even as darkness settled in over the pond. Pictures posted in the link below.

Fished one of the feeder creek ponds at Shadow Lakes Saturday morning. Caught several Bluegill, a small fingerling Bass, and then a nice Bluegill that went about 8.5"+ in size.

Went out later in the evening to Celebration Park. Caught small Bluegill and a small fingerling Catfish, and then a 20"+ Catfish. Gave a good fight and released all that were caught.

FYI - Stopped by Brockdale Park on Lake Lavon this afternoon. Observed a group catching White Bass (Sand Bass) off the point to the right of the boat ramp (as you face the water). Consistent keepers with Shad used as bait.
