Ranger. Its the smothest riding bass boat on the water. The boats have things to keep you more organized and give you more storage space. Plus the were the first with an areated livewell so the have more time to make it the best.

I have been extremely happy with Triton. Extremely fast hull and top performance! The ride is unbelievable! Talk about storage space, it's hard to run out of room in the front storage boxes in a Triton. In 2007 Triton was the only manufacture that printed storage capacities in their catalog. I look at Ranger, Skeeter, Champion, Bass Cat and Nitro and never find any specs in their catalogs on storage space. Now Bass Cat does have a couple of models that have great layouts on storage. The other thing, the non-boaters storage boxes on the back are bigger than Rangers. Good friend on my can't fit his tackle box into a Ranger but can get it in my boat. The best advice I can give you is take the input from peeps that have owned a Ranger, Skeeter and then Triton, ask them which boat they liked the best?

But the bottom line is all manufactures make great bass boats! It just a matter of opinion and your preference that tailor you style! It's just great being out on the water in something you feel comfortable in.

Smooth? Ranger and the word Smooth don't go together at all.

The best built boat, by far is Basscat. I've said that for years.

HEre are the others at the top. But not in any particular order

Ranger
Triton
Champion
Skeeter
Legend

I will say this. I'm on my third Triton. I've been really pleased with them and they really have a good ride.

Ranger stepped up with their Z boats, and their 521 & 522 had a really good ride. Other than that, most Rangers are Lead Sleds. Well built, but rough. Especially the 3 and 4 series.

Come one guys.

Most of the "Which boats are the best threads" are started by people who just joined the forum, and they are just trying to start a conversation.

I know it has been asked a million times here.

Just like, "When are they going to re-open Squaw Creek."

So let's say hello to the guy, and not get carried away.

I have owned 2 Champions and 2 Rangers. Champion takes the gold medal on ride. However, my new Ranger Z20 comes close to the 203 Champion in the ride. I am not going to bash another brand but Ranger is best for me and especially if it has Yammie hooked onto the back end!

Everyones opinions are great but if you ask me, even though I own a Triton, I am going with what Bristow says. He works on these things day after day and sees what abuse the boats gets put through.

All the research one usually does for a particular boat will only confirm the things that is being sought out like storage space, years in business, customer comments and so forth.

You will never see on a brocure how many people put a stump through the hull, how much pressure it will take to stress crack it or how many have ever had transom problems.

It is always advised to take a used boat to a repair shop to have it looked over before purchasing so why not ask the people that have to repair them on a daily basis before a decision is made? I would bet that repair shops know more about what the boat can handle more so than the sales rep for any manufacturer.
