It seems silly, but I bet you do.

From TPWD:

"All motorized boats, regardless of length;"

"Exempted vessels — All (non-motorized) canoes, kayaks, punts, rowboats, or rubber rafts (regardless of length) when paddled, poled, or oared; sailboats under 14 feet in length when windblown; USCG documented commercial vessels used in coastal shipping; and USCG documented vessels exceeding 115 feet in length"

I want to know more about a $20 toy jet ski motor running on 2 dcells that will push a full grown man around in a float tube all day. thats a lot to ask for all the energy in a flashlight battery

If it works be worth registering a float tube or inflatable. How much can it cost to registers a float tube? Wonder if you would have to register the ski motor separate like and outboard? Would you require the proper running lights, fire extinguisher, whistle and bilge pump? Guess you could wear two head lamps, green in front and red in back, and a beanie with a white lite on top your head. I think t he hardest part would be trying to fit the numbers on. lol

This little device would've been handy today, that is if it had the power to move a float tube against those Southern breezes. But, I doubt it would move it at all.
