Fished a pond in east Ft. Worth today and caught two bass, one about a pound and the other about 2 lb. Another guy there caught one crappie and one bass. I would guess his bass was 4 1/2 to 5 lbs.

It is on the east side of Oakland Blvd. just north of I30. I think it's called White Lake. I haven't seen any in the two or three times I've been there this spring but it looks like it could get a little snaky since it isn't mowed or anything.

Saw a pretty good size snake while fishing at this lake yesterday. Caught four small bass.

I was looking to see if anyone had found my lake. The lake is loaded, I have caught LMB over 7 lbs and lots of 3 to 5 lb fish. On a windy cloudy day throw spinner baits. The problem is the vigilante resident that lives on the east side of the lake. He puts up no treaspassing signs and claims to represent the owners and orders people off the property threatening them with going to jail. Nolan Catholic school owns the east side of the lake and the Fort Worth property coorporation (a city company) owns the west side that backs up to Oakland that is accessable. I have tried to get ahold of these folks with no luck. There is a long story behind this company and the land they own and why but not for this discussion. I live over looking I30 and can almost see the lake from my front yard and have been fishing there for 30 years and its loaded. Just be prepared for the ediot resident to come harass you and he puts signs up constantly and they get removed and he puts more up. He is obcessed with keeping people out of there but he has no right to.

Do you usually fish on the east side? I've only fished the west side. I caught some decent fish in the spring but have only been a couple of times this summer with little success.
The last time I was there about 3 weeks ago (no fish caught) and someone had placed a no treaspassing sign on the west side where you pull off of Oakland. I guess the guy on the east side is expanding his claim.

Have either of you fished Candleridge Park lately. Its on the southwest side of town. I haven't fished it in years and I was coming up to Fort Worth this weekend. Thought I might give it a try.

It is on French Lake Dr. off of Hulen st. I fished it for years when I live in Ft. Worth. I'd say its about 8 acres. It was an awesome place to fish. I caught bass up to 7 #'s, lots off crappie ,catfish, and bluegill. The city put a bulkhead around the lake with bags of concrete so you can walk around the entire lake. The first 20ft from the shore is only about 2.5ft deep because they drove a dozer around when they put in the bulk head. It did create a ledge that the fish will hang out on. It is a city park with a walking trail, playground, and lots of ducks.

Signs were probably placed by the guy Kirkmrtek mentioned above.
