2lb crappie from joe pool lake

Just got back from camping/fishing trip at cedar hill state park / joe pool lake. didnt find the fish until the last night, but my buddie caught a nice one. 15inchs and almost 2.lbs. Caught on the barge, on a minnow at about 1:30 am.

my buddie was really excited to bring that one in. there were a some other guys fishing with us that night and they landed one just alil bigger than this one.
im going back out to lake mackenzie tomorrow to see if i can get a few more for the fish fry.

Man, what a nice crappie! I may just have to load up and come on down to Joe's Pool. I have always caught the biggest crappie late at night like that. A buddy and I pulled in some big ones one night out of Quitman Lake that were over 3.5#

That's a nice fish. I walked down to the creek I fish on at the Pool yesterday late and caught only one Black and no Crappie. I did come up on two pretty good size Water Moccasins. Tell everyone that they are out big time now. I hate those suckers!
