Think I'm gonna take a half-day off from work today and try both spots. Has anyone fished these lately?

Be sure to include a snake report!!

Well, I fished the Colleyville Nat Cntr yesterday with no luck, once again! I had one fish hit my scum frog, but that was it. I also threw a bunch of different plastics and some smaller sized spinnerbaits with no luck.

Haven't been out there since last summer because of college, but was able to hook into a couple. Actually caught a channel cat up in the shallows when I was fishing a motor oil worm I believe.

I've always liked going back there and just escaping from it for a bit, then hit up the sonic for a nice refreshment after I'm done.

I would be willing to bet it gets some serious pressure, so you might have to dive deep into that tackle box to see some results.

I fished McCormick park last saturday morning and cuaght a NICE fat 3 pounder on a ribbit frog. I had just hopped it over a pile of sticks that were laying down about two feet off the bank and WHAM I got nailed. Had fun but that was all I got.

Fished McCormick this afternoon. Nada!!

Had one bump on a motor oil lizard. Also threw a buzzbait and spinnerbait.

That place would be so much easier to fish if they would clean up the banks. Between the 3 ft tall grass/weeds and the trash, there is only a handful of spots that you can get to.

bpharris I feel your pain! I also fished out there this morning and nada as well. And yes they do need to clean up the banks! Watch out for mister slither! I saw him and his cousins. There is some great potential out there...but.

I hear you on the Mr. Slither!!! I came within inches of stepping on one last summer. That is why I usually do not fish that place. But, the chances are much better there than at the Collryville Nat Ctr.

You have anywhere else you fish (that is close) other than McCormick or Colly Nat Ctr?

About 100 yards south of MidCities Blvd off of Fuller Weiser.

Parks and Recreation said they are not stocking the Nature center pond this year.
