Man, that would be an awesome trip. I wished I could commit now. Just can't.

If you haven't fished with Steve Tomeny, he runs a really good setup.

Plus, if I'm not mistaken, that should be a good moon phase.

Yes it should be good as long as mother nature co-operates
Other than the snapper regulations fiasco the fishing should be good we should have a good shot at some nice yellowfin, plenty of Aj's,grouper etc..
Anyone interested???

Does Capt Tomeny have a website? Would like to see what I'd be getting into (as far as the boat) before I commit myself on such a trip. Sounds like it'd be loads of fun.

JOhn, He doesn't own the Caribean Sea anymore. I didn't realize there was a problem with them, other than just not many rod holders.

Is anyone experienced fishing on "Louisiana boat" ?
I need some info for rod holder, bunk bed, microwave, and restroom ?
Do I need to bring some milk crate for rod holder ?

Thanks,
Freddy.

You will need a milk crate, there is plenty of room up top. The Louisiana is virtually the same boat as the Caribean Sea. Use your plate and drop downs if you don't have a rod holder. I actually prefer to chunk this way since you're already hooked up when you get hit. Just engage the reel and the fight is on.

Bunks are fine, and there is a microwave. The head on the Caribean Sea was very nice, particularly for a head boat. Didn't see the Louisana's though. But the two boats are virtually identical.

The bunk house was clean. No real complaints. The best thing was, you wake up in the morning, and you only have a 100 foot walk across to the boat!
