The 3rd SW Division Grand Slam Series (GSS) event will be held on Richland Chambers 4/4 & 4/5 & the winner on the Pro side of this event will go home with this boat worth over 39k (Triton TR196 w/ Mercury, Lowrance & Motorguide). The 1st place prize for the co-angler depends on the # of participants. In addition to the pay out, there are Triton incentives payable on the Pro & Co-angler side (again depends on number of participants). The event’s total purse is worth over $125,000 (with a full field & if certain contingencies are met).

This is not a Triton owners only event, and entry fees are $550 on the Pro side & $155 on the Co-angler side. (If registration is not made w/in 10 days b/f the event there is a $25 late fee, but you can register up until the night b/f the 1st day’s event).

The top 50 pros & top 50 co-anglers in the SW GSS will advance to a championship w/ the SE GSS division’s top 50 and there will be no entry fees for those advancing. The total prize value payout at the Championship is worth $150,000.00 (if certain contingencies are met). See the flyer at http://www.abaprotour.com/gramslam_2008_flier.pdf for further details. There are three GSS events remaining before the Championship - so its anyone’s game.

At the last SW GSS event on Sam Rayburn the payout was over 250% (w/ the 39k boat) and paid out to 25% of the field on both sides. Triton & ABA are putting a lot of incentives out there for anglers who fish GSS & BWS, and we really hope that both these trails will grow in your area. The crew members working the Texas divisions enjoy the fellowship with the anglers & meeting their families & we hope many more friendships will develop as both the GSS & BWS trails grow.

How many signed up?

What would total cost be for first timer fishing as Co angler. Membership fees and all?

Is this a BASS event as well? requiring that membership as well.

I do have the weekend off. I have tournament the following week and was gonna prefish both days. Could help someone out and learn RC alittle. Just back from 9 days on Lake Norfork Ark, so getting time off during the week unless late evening will be hard to make meeting.

Co-angler is $155 (plus there is a late fee of $25). Don't need to be BASS member, just ABA ($25 for year unless you're a Triton boat owner - then free). Check-in/registration is Thurs. b/w 4-6:30 pm w/ meeting at 7:00 pm

Today (Tues. 4/1) will be the deadline to register for GSS directly w/ ABA headquarters. If you would like to fish the GSS this weekend @ Richland Chambers, call ABA @ (888)203-6222. If you're on the fence about fishing GSS this weekend, you can still register at our checkin/registration meeting on Thurs. @ Gander Mountain in Corsicana b/w 4-6:30 pm.
