Hi guys,

My website, http://www.fishing-headquarters.com will be hosting its 2nd annual Rough Fish Tournament. We held our first tournament last year in June, 2007. Roughly 15 people registered and approximately 7 of us placed in the standings. The winner completely destroyed everyone last year as he is a Rough Fish enthusiast from Texas.

View Last Year's Tournament:: http://www.fishing-headquarters.com/articles/roughfishrecap07.html

The 2008 tournament will be held from April 1, thru May 31, 2008

The competition will be based on a points system, so the more you catch, the more probable it is you will win. Winner will win some pretty good prizes for this one. Those anglers participating in this tournament will have a chance to place in the Fishing Headquarters Angler of the Year standings as we have four tournaments scheduled for 2008 and the individual with the most points from the four tournaments combined will win this award for braggin' rights.

To view a list of our rules, guidelines and acceptable species, please click the following link posted below:: http://www.fishing-headquarters.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1678

In order to participate in this fun event, you must be a registered member of http://www.fishing-headquarters.com, and you must visit the link below to officially register for this event. It takes 15 seconds to register to the site, and less than 5 seconds to register for tournament.

Click HERE to Register:: http://www.fishing-headquarters.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1673

Thank you for your time, and for any potential interest.

Regards,
Andrew

For the record folks, Andrew runs a real nice site. It is put together much like a magazine, and he's a fine writer on the subject of angling.

I may have to get into this contest this year...Can't let Bret win EVERY contest...hehe.

That just means I'll have to carry around two tournament images...One for TXFishes Multi-Species, and one for Fishing Headquarters Rough...

I remember you doing that last year, Bret, I had to take double pictures for you at Llela lol.

I was going to say the northern states have an unfair advantage because they have so many more fish species then we do...

But I see it's on a points per fish system, so we can load up on what we do have...Which I imagine is how Bret won it last year hehe.

Just a reminder, the rules of the txfishes.com multispecies contest say that fish caught in other contests are eligible to be entered.

Oh well. We can make up enough points by loading up on the species we do have.

Lol any time Andy.

I was hoping to move up a few places after the Fork Fish In trip, but all I caught was catfish! And I was too tired or drunk to take photos of most of them lol.

Hopefully I can pick up a few more bigger fish soon.

Well gentlemen,

The tournament took a 360-degree turn earlier this week. The instigator who was making this tourney be a "dink fest" was DQ'ed for illegally fishing and transporting his fish from one body of water to another, according to Ohio Gamefish rules and regs. Some members got PO'ed and were unhappy so the former first-place leader just left the site.

I'm not complaining, neither should anyone else because this tourney is anyone's game now! smile

Here's the current standings.

Tournament Leaderboard

OhioFisher - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 505 - DQ'd/ left website

12) J. Dunfee - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 20 Withdrew

13) Donna Eichelberger - - - - - - - - - 10

And there are about 20 guys who have yet to submit entries.... Maybe they will come through, hopefully.

FYI, there are abut 2.5 to 3 weeks left in tournament. Anything can happen!
