I heard on the news this morning that about this time next year the city will begin constuction on a "Boardwalk" to connect the jogging trails. This will run approx. 1 mile long along the SE shore from just west of the 35 bridge to just past the hostile (by the gasebo swim). This path will be out on the water with entrances along, however, they stated they will enforce no fishing from this as it is intended for a running/bike trail.

I know of no swims affected by that path. It's a very steep bank below that old ATC hotel. I'll want to fish it once it's done though. LOL

I can name 2 swims that were used during this years ATC that will be affected by this bridge/walkway. As this project progresses I will know the exact path as I am very good friends with the person who is currently slated to do the survey work for this project.

This year there was only one peg close to the Melrose swim. In past years there have been 2 or 3 pegs there. I pleaded, make that begged Chad to not peg those this year. He pegged 1. The Gazebo should still be fishable unless they take the walkway to the point.

Mike, have your friend route the walk way about 10 yds back from the shoreline in the accessible areas. That way they can have their walkway, and we can still have bank access to the water on the south side of the lake.
